The Taste is Back!
Experience Old Town North on Thursday September 29 from 4 to 7 pm in Montgomery Park, 901 North Royal Street, Alexandria: the Taste offers a great opportunity to visit this sophisticated urban community with a small town vibe next to the Potomac River waterfront, and to experience culinary delights from local restaurants and farmers market vendors.
Mayor Justin Wilson will officially open the event and welcome visitors. The event is free, kid- and pet-friendly, and includes vendors from the Old Town North Farmers and Artisans Market, live music, and instructor-led wellness demos.
Visitors will be able to sample food from neighborhood favorites, including Yunnan by Potomac, Café 44, Hank’s Oyster Bar, and Lost Dog Café. Music begins at 5:30 and features Sally and the Mander and the Three Man Soul Machine.
The Old Town North Community Partnership is presenting the event, and is joined by sponsors the City of Alexandria, Hilco Redevelopment Partners, and the Old Town North Alliance, with additional support from TideLock, Canal Center, Trammell Crow, Sport and Health Old Town, and NOTICe.
