OTNA Awarded Grant, Names First Executive Director
The Old Town North Alliance (OTNA) has been awarded $83,000 in an American Rescue Plan Act grant from the City of Alexandria. This grant will enable OTNA to move beyond the all-volunteer stage with new professional staff, and to intensify its work toward its goals of implementing the Old Town North Small Area Plan and the Old Town North Arts and Cultural District.
Edythe Frankel Kelleher has been named OTNA’s new part-time executive director. Kelleher will be OTNA’s first executive director outside its board.
Ms. Kelleher brings more than 20 years of experience working in local government, including serving on the staff of Fairfax County Supervisor Penelope Gross and on the Vienna Town Council. Kelleher also served on the executive committee of the Virginia Municipal League, the Virginia Real Estate Appraisal Board, and the Fairfax County Economic Advisory Commission.
Before she worked in local government, Kelleher was a property manager and analyst with Legum & Norman, a project administrator with ST Research Corporation, and an economist and statistician for the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Kelleher holds an MBA from the George Washington University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Social Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University.
