NOTICe Presents Third and Fourth Installments of “Know Your Neighborhood”

NOTICe, the North Old Town Independent Citizens Association, has developed a series of four informational programs about the Old Town North area.  The first, shown in September, addressed Health and Safety, while the second, also in September, was about Old Town North’s Open and Green Spaces.

In October, the program includes Old Town North Is….Artistic, on October 1 at 7 pm, via Zoom and Facebook Live; and Old Town North Is…Culinary, on October 15 also at 7 pm.   Old Town North Is Artistic focuses on the neighborhood’s role as an Arts and Cultural District, and features brief presentations by Carolyn Griffin, Director of MetroStage; Melynda Wilcox, Board Chair and George Hanson, Executive Director of the Alexandria Symphony Orchestra; and Maria Wasowski, Planning Commissioner who led the Old Town North Small Area Plan.  The program also features a slide show of art in the parks and streets and our neighborhood.  Kudos to NOTICe for this excellent programming!
