Alexandria Canal Archaeology Viewing

The City of Alexandria and Carr Properties invite you to view the canal remains unearthed during exploratory pre-trenching at the 425 Montgomery St. site. Meet at the Old Town North Farmer’s Market in Montgomery Park to begin the tour. Archaeologists from the City of Alexandria will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. Participants will not be able to enter the active construction site, but will be able to view the canal remains from the sidewalk around the construction site. The public viewing will take place rain or shine.
