EVENTS BIG AND SMALL ON TAP FOR SEPTEMBER IN OLD TOWN NORTH
There's a lot going on this month in Old Town North! Events and meetings galore, and a new bus route! There are opportunities to have fun and others to learn -- choose one or attend everything.
The Annual Taste of Old Town North is back, after a miss in 2020. The event, being held on September 16 from 4 to 8 pm in Montgomery Park, features food samples and entertainment. Several Old Town North restaurants are participating. Live music will be provided by two local bands - Sally and the Mander, starting at 5:00 pm and Three Man Soul Machine, starting at 6:00 pm.
“Old Town North is a special community with so much to offer," says Alexandria Mayor Justin Wilson.
The Taste of Old Town North is free, kid- friendly, and offers the chance to sample a variety of delicious food from local restaurants including Cafe 44, Grateful Kitchen and St. Elmo’s Old Town North. Visitors to the Taste can also shop at the local farmers’ market, try their hand at Art in the Park with KidCreate, watch a karate demonstration from Seichou Karate, and picnic in the park. The event is a creation of the Old Town North Community Partnership and co-sponsored by the Old Town North Alliance and NOTICe. For further information, https://oldtownnorth.org/fall-taste.

This service will be entirely free and run seven days per week, every 7 to 15 minutes. We posted a detailed description on the Old Town North Alliance Latest News in April.
